Principles
These principles apply to everyone attending the meetup and are meant to provide a framework for safe, non-violent interaction for everyone involved. Visitors open up, share private and intimate details, and therefore make themselves vulnerable. All participants are asked to internalize the following principles and, especially during the meetup, actively live by them:
Consent
All actions during the meetup are based on consent. Everyone should have the ability to decide who they talk to, what kind of closeness is okay, and whose things may be used or touched.
Communication
All participants are encouraged to communicate their wishes, needs, and also criticism clearly and honestly. Whenever possible, this should be done non-violently, e.g. by using cooperative communication (observations, feelings, needs, requests).
Respect
All participants must be treated with respect. Especially in discussions, differences of opinion can arise. In those cases, the principles of cooperative communication apply as well.
